aviation sector of nigeria sacrificing lives
it is when things fall apart and the center cannot hold that is when nigeria government take necessary steps, what is happening to our aviation sector is very unfortunate and sad,Back in June 2012, a Mcdonnell Douglas MD-83 operating as flight 992 crashed into a two-storey building at Iju railway, Ishaga, a suburb of Lagos.
All 153 people on board the aircraft were killed. Following the crash, all flights by Dana Air were halted by Nigeria’s Civil Aviation Authority.
But, the airline’s licence was restored in September 2012, before the inquiry into the accident was concluded until this fresh directive was handed down, now according to the Director General of the Nigeria Civil Aviation Authority (NCAA),dana air has now been suspended again stating that the suspension is to enable them conduct an operational auditing, does it mean since september people flying have been travelling under high risk, nigerians can count how many airline crash since resuming office and yet nigeria have minister of aviation who is just sitting in office, please what is she doing to regulate the aviation? how long will the lives of nigerians start having meaning to them?
